Postcard Project. Richard Hamilton.

The main inspiration for this project was Richard Hamilton, who, in 1969 was invited to participate in the “Art by Telephone” exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. He decided there were interesting possibilities in trying to create a picture through a series of instructions given over the telephone.

I decided to challenge my creativity and I used Richard Hamilton’s Chicago Postcard project in order to find a new starting point using my research material and to reflect on the unwritten rules and instructions that I use every day to restrict and define my image-making practice.
